MWEA Paddle With Purpose at Annual Conference


The MWEA Paddle With Purpose will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024, as a part of the Annual Conference. Canoe rentals will be provided by Jordan Valley Outfitters, located at 311 N. Lake St. (M-66), East Jordan. We will be paddling the Jordan River from Graves Crossing Road to Rogers Road, a trip of about three hours.
  • The total cost of the trip is $90 for a team of two paddlers ($60 for transportation and canoe rental and $30 for Water For People).
  • If you prefer to rent a kayak, the total cost for a solo is $65 and the total cost for a two-person kayak is $95.
The schedule for the Sunday event is to meet at the Boyne Mountain Grand Lodge main lobby at 11:45 AM. Bus transportation to and from the Jordan River will be provided by Jordan Valley Outfitters.Plan to return to Boyne Mountain by around 5:30 PM.

You are encouraged to register by May 17 if you plan to join the Paddle With Purpose event. Later registrations will be considered, but no guarantee of canoe availability can be made.

The Paddle With Purpose event will raise funds for Water For People, a WEF charity of choice, whose mission is to promote the development of high quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments. https://www.waterforpeople.org/

For those who will be attending 2024 WEFTEC in New Orleans, you are cordially invited to our Michigan Night Reception on the evening of Monday, October 7, 2024. 
 

Attendance is complimentary and as in the past, this event is planned as a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres. We plan it to be a time to socialize with your acquaintances, firm up any plans you may have during WEFTEC, and hopefully make new contacts to help your business grow!
